You Don't Need More Clarity. You Need to Stop Running From the Decision.

There is something strange about living in this generation.

You can have access to more information than any man who lived before you...

And still have absolutely no idea what to do with your life.

You can read the books.

Listen to the podcasts.

Watch the interviews.

Save the Instagram posts.

Build the vision board.

Pray about it.

Research it.

Plan it.

And somehow...

still not move.

I've caught myself doing this.

Not because I don't know what I want.

But because sometimes I want certainty before I'm willing to commit.

And that's a dangerous game.

Because life rarely gives you certainty first.

It gives you direction.

Then it asks you to walk.

The world is loud

Everywhere you look, someone is telling you what your life should look like.

What success means.

What a man should want.

How much money you should make.

What kind of woman you should have.

What your body should look like.

What political beliefs you should hold.

What you should care about.

What you should be offended by.

What you should buy.

What you should consume.

And if you're not careful...

you can spend your entire life responding to everyone else's priorities.

That's why I believe purpose is becoming increasingly important for men.

Because a man without a clear direction becomes incredibly easy to distract.

But here's where faith becomes difficult.

What happens when you know what you want...

but you don't know exactly how God is going to get you there?

This is where many men struggle.

We want God to give us the entire blueprint.

Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 47.

Then we'll move.

But that's not always how faith works.

Sometimes God gives you enough light for the next step.

Not the entire staircase.

And your responsibility is to take that step.

Faith does not mean inactivity.

Trusting God doesn't mean sitting around waiting for your life to magically change.

You still have to train.

You still have to work.

You still have to study.

You still have to make difficult decisions.

You still have to say no.

You still have to build.

You still have to fail.

You still have to get back up.

You still have to execute.

The difference is that you don't believe you are God.

You don't need to control every variable.

You need to be faithful with what has been placed in front of you.

And maybe that's your real problem.

Maybe you don't lack clarity.

Maybe you're trying to achieve perfect clarity.

There's a difference.

Clarity says:

“I know what I need to do next.”

Perfectionism says:

“I need to know exactly how everything is going to work before I begin.”

One produces movement.

The other produces research.

One builds confidence.

The other builds anxiety.

One creates a life.

The other creates a very sophisticated form of procrastination.

So here's your assignment this week.

Take a piece of paper.

Write down three things:

1. What do I know I am supposed to be doing?

Not what you feel like doing.

What do you already know?

2. What am I currently avoiding?

Be brutally honest.

The uncomfortable conversation?

The application?

The training?

The business?

The discipline?

The prayer?

The decision?

3. What is the next obedient action?

Not the entire plan.

Just the next step.

Then take it.

You don't need to see the entire road.

You need enough courage to walk the part of it that God has already shown you.

And if you're an underdog, you should already understand this.

Nobody is coming to build your life for you.

You have a responsibility to build it.

But you don't have to build it alone.

Trust God.

Then get to work.

There are things a man can live without. Money. Recognition. Comfort. A relationship. A big house. A nice car. Even certainty. But there are certain things you cannot afford to neglect if you want to become the man you were created to be. And I don't mean the things the world tells you to chase. I'm talking about the foundations. Because a man can have money and still be lost. He can have a great physique and still be weak. He can have women and still be empty. He can have influence and still...

There is a question I've asked myself more times than I would like to admit: “What exactly am I supposed to be doing?” Maybe you've asked yourself the same question. You want to know your purpose. You want to know the right career. The right business. The right woman. The right city. The right investment. The right training program. The right decision. So you keep looking. You research. You pray. You think. You compare. You wait. And then you convince yourself that you're still searching for...

There is a version of faith that sounds spiritual but quietly keeps a man stuck. You pray. You wait. You ask God for direction. You tell yourself that if it is meant to happen, God will make it happen. So you do nothing. And when nothing changes, you say: “I'm still waiting on God.” I've had to learn the difference between trusting God and using God as an excuse for inaction. Because they are not the same thing. I believe God gives the mission. The man has to move. I've always believed there...
